Just read your timely post. I have had many concerns about my Bird of Paradise and you helped solve some of them. I live NW of Ft Worth, TX (Zone 8) and have my 3 plants growing in pots so they can be moved around to take advantage of the sun and to bring them indoors during the winter. My main concerns were about the lowest temperature they could tolerate and about cutting them back for the winter. They are approximately 3' tall with plenty of leaves, so they will take up a lot of room. Will try cutting them back and hope for the best.Your article was very informative and very helpful in that aspect. Thank you for your help.
